The Place Time Stays

This poster represents the idea of making our mind a calm and inviting place. Inspired by the quote "You spend a lot of time in your head, make it a nice place to be," it combines dreamy visuals, soft colours, and small details to reflect the importance of peace and self-reflection. It highlights the connection between time and place which encourages us to create a safe and peaceful space within our thoughts.

Bubbles of Life

My self-portrait revolves around the theme of bubbles, ordinary yet beautiful as they come and go. The round cutouts of my face in color move like floating bubbles, which symbolizes the harmony between fluidity and structure. This piece reflects my belief in going with the flow while finding balance and encourage us to embrace life’s fleeting yet meaningful moments.

Experience

Overall, DPI is a fun module for me. Most of the tasks given are simple and straightforward, which makes it easier to focus on learning. This module has definitely made understanding Photoshop a bit easier thanks to the helpful tutorials and exercises. Another Adobe software we explored is After Effects, which turned out to be less difficult to use than I thought. DPI is a good introductory module to start the degree and build a foundation for design skills.

Observation

Throughout the semester, I noticed that DPI, just like the other core modules, focuses heavily on applying design elements and principles in our photography and imaging work. This constant emphasis has helped me understand how important these fundamentals are for creating good designs.

Findings

There are so many ways to enhance an image, which also means there are plenty of chances for me to keep learning and exploring.

Thank You
